Hi! Welcome to Tropical Chai.

I’m a Business Communications major with a love of chai, lattes, academia, aesthetics, digital art, painting, illustration, and writing. I have about 20 years of experience in art, illustration, and painting. I have several years of experience in corporate hospitality, cloud software engineering, technical writing, and prompt engineering. I have multi-faceted interests ranging from technology topics, from writing and media, to creativity and the arts.

Tropical Chai is my personal studio and editorial website, where my creative work, interests, and writing live together. This website celebrates my creative talent in art and my technical craft in writing.

I started Tropical Chai because I couldn’t find a space that honored the focused, studious energy of academia and the relaxed, warm vibe of the tropics, mixed in with quiet creativity, and a cozy corner for reading, writing, and journaling. I wanted a place where late-night study sessions go on endlessly, with a beautifully aesthetic desk, and a hot cup of chai, that makes you motivated to study for hours and hours. So I built the space. Tropical Chai is that space, a cozy corner of the internet where we slow down, draw, write, photograph, journal, and remind ourselves that creativity and calm can exist even in the middle of hustling.

Tropical Chai is a reminder that you don’t have to choose between ambition and rest; you can study and work hard but take breaks to draw, paint, read, write, or explore any type of creative hobby that you are interested in. This space is for anyone who chases goals but also takes the time to stop and smell the roses.
